I am going to post 3 versions of this painting as it progresses. Mountain Brook. This is version one. These are quick cell phone photos
Two shows are up now, and there are associated events with both of them. I currently have a one person show up at the New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven, CT. I am also participating in a group show at the Painting Center in New York. There is an opening reception for this show on Friday evening, December 12. The show is a benefit to mark the Painting Center's 21st anniversary. The address is 547 W 27th St #500, New York, NY 10001. The telephone 3 is (212) 343-1060.
I have several exhibitions coming up. One is a one person show, and the other two are group shows. I will post more details of the latter two as the draw nearer.
First is the Summer Group Show at Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery, June 28- August 5 in Shelburne, VT. This is a small but lovely gallery close to Burlington. It is worth a visit. The address and a link to the gallery web site are the following:
86 Falls Rd.
Shelburne, Vt. 05482
Second, the soon to be opened Kent Museum in Calais, VT has its inaugural exhibition Reflections, September – October 2014 , which will coincide with American Craft Week, Open Studio Weekend, and Calais’ Fall Foliage Festival. For this exhibition the curators have invited a select group of authors, photographers, and visual artists to muse literally and figuratively within their medium upon the concept of reflections. Considering the actual return of light as inspiration or using internal thought as visual motivation are equal focuses for the exhibit. Reflective materials, highly polished surfaces, and mirrored or repeated imagery will enlighten visitors through an overt look at how art reflects life and how forms of thought bounce back. Check back for more details.
Finally, I will be having a one-person show at the New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven, CT (basically on the Yale campus) November - December. Check back for more details, as I will post the address, time of the opening reception, etc.
The Vermont Standard had a front page article about my work, my influences, and some of my history. It was nicely written. Here is a link to the article: http://www.thevermontstandard.com/2014/05/getting-a-bang-out-of-hartland-artists-work/
